Dirt Cove Town Crest
Explanation of the Town Crest The Dirt Cove Town Crest depicts several elements. The Noble Shithawk or Common Dung Gull (larus feces) clutches a paper doily in its talons, representing Dirt Cove's past and doily-manufacturing heritage. The Dirt and Shovel represents the community's present. The Future is not depicted, because we do not know the Future. If anyone has any ideas, please submit them to the Mayor. These elements are shown against a blue shield, representing a blue-coloured device one might use to fend off an attack from someone armed with a sword or club. The Latin motto, Ex Laxia Suppositori, means "Desperately Hoping for a Better Tomorrow" in Greek, and reflects the community's desperate hope for a better tomorrow. |
